My List of Accomplishments

Hi, my name is Tajia Taylor. The dog I show is named "Kadin". We have come a long way from when we started. I have gotten 3 points on him in conformation.  And as you can see from the above list; we've been busy.  I'm really proud of the accomplishments that I have done with "Kadin".  I believe that you can have a dog that is very versatile in many areas.  I believe I was most proud when I got his CGC (Canine Good Citizens) Award.  We were just starting out and he hadn't graduated from Basic Obedience yet, but I felt very confident that we could do the test very well.

Our Story is this: My dad was sitting in a chair at Rachel Cohee's house and the breeder, Sharon Gause, had the puppies at Rachel's house and "Kadin" crawled into my dad's lap and that was that. Sharon said that we could keep "Kadin". So we did. Then I went to the Saluki Nationals with Sharon, Rachel, and John. Sharon said to spend some time with "Kadin", so I did. Well, he was supposed to be my brother's show dog, but... that didn't work out so well. He ended up being my show dog. Then I started working with him in my backyard at the age of 5-6 months. Then I started working with him at a Conformation Class when he got to be 6-7 months and he did really good. So, then we put him in some shows and he did even better.

So now we are doing very well. Look for us in the Junior Showmanship ring, as Open-Intermediates. Also watch for us in the Open Dog Saluki ring. We will be going to the Saluki Nationals in 2007. You can look for us at the Agility Trials and in the Obedience Trials in the near future. We go to many local shows in Florida.

I have also shown a dog named CH Shiva's Aries Shikadin, "Aries". I got the last few points on him that he needed to finish.  I was so very proud of him; as well as myself.  This was my first major accomplishment with the breed.
                                                                               

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!
I am the Proud new owner of CH Monab Neptune, "Neptune" with MUCH thanks to Monab Salukis. Sue Ann Pietros and my Mom, made my wish come true...from the first time that I saw "Neptune", I knew I wanted him.  I fell in love with him and would watch him every time he was in the ring. 

You can see us in the Saluki ring, as I will continue to Special him and we'll also be in the Junior Showmanship ring.
